End of Day 21!

I can't believe that we have already been here for 3 weeks. It has just flown by. I put Terry on the plane to come home this morning and we came back to a very quiet house. I love it when it is quiet here. This place just has magic about it that make you feel like there isn't a care in the world. I still have 4 more days before I head back to the blistering heat, not looking forward to that. But I am excited to come home to our new house. Terry worked extremely hard before he came up here to get us all moved in. Now i just hove to come home and put it all together!! ANYWAY back no not a car in the world.... The kids and I just had a real relaxing day hanging around the ranch. Grammy was here this weekend and she is teaching me how to crochet (again, my last lesson was when I was 10!) Well Sam was just too interested in crocheting and pestered me until I finally broke down and gave her her first lesson. She has started with a chain and got it to about 5 feet long. we are now working on a hot pad. She does pretty well when she has the patience. She would rather just to the chain!!
After we had some dinner and put some brownies in the oven we went for a drive in the mule. We saw this whole family of deer in the field up the road.
We saw the llama's, no good pictures though, they're not very photogenic beasts!! I put the Bon Bon in the road for a little pic, turned out kinda cute.

It occurred to me that many of you have no idea where it is I am so here is just a little taste of the splendor I have been enjoying for the past 21 days. The Shady Willows River Ranch is in Medford, Oregon. The property is on the Rogue River which we love to go rafting on, stay tuned for video of our last excursion down the river. Words can't really express how wonderful it is here. You just have to see if for yourself!!

After having such a pleasant experience taking Mitch and Shannon's pictures I thought I could get a decent little shoot with my kids, after 25 min. of sheer torture I GAVE UP!! Maybe well try again another day.
"Do I have to smile?"

This one would have been great except for the fact that Colby is choking Bonnie and Brett.
The Best One Of ALL!!!

My First Time

OK, so if you're not reading this blog for the first time then I'll assume you already know that I pretend to be a photographer! Emphasis on PRETEND!! Well my lovely sister-in-law Shannon pinned me down and had me take some family photos of their lovely family for the picture wall in her mom's house. I'll say this I have a LONG wqay to go, but with the help of photoshop they didn't turn out to bad, but hey with subjects like this how could they!!

A Very Full Day!!!

The day began with a tour through the retired airplane that is at the airport. Brett says it is a stratocruiser but he's not sure?!?

We then proceeded the Science Museum in Ashland, which was so fun. This the the pulley machine where you can see if you can pull your own weight.

There was a bubble exhibit. That was my favorite part. The kids were really good at making really big bubbles.

Mitch and Terry built a dam!
Terry had some fun with electricity!
Colby at the Fun House mirrors!
After we were done at the science museum we came back to the ranch and then everybody (with the exception of me Brett & Bonnie) rafted the river. I was concerned Colby wouldn't like being cold but even after he got "drenched" (Colby's new favorite word) he was still smiling!!

All in all, it was a fabulous day in Oregon!!

Beach Baby, Beach Baby There in the Sand

Friday night Mitch, Shannon and Terry and I went to a really fun concert at the Jackson County fair. If you couldn't tell by my title, we saw the Beach Boys!! I was a bit skeptical about how they would sound seeing that there is only 2 of the original members that are currently in the band, but I tell you what..It was so fun!! You could close your eyes and you'd think you were sitting on the beach listening to the original Beach Boys!!

More Froggy's

Notice Anything Different?

I hope her daddy isn't reading this!! I wanted to surprise him tomorrow when he gets here!

Lava Lanes

We took the kids to the Lava Lanes to go bowling. We had so much fun. I tried to get some good pictures however I recently discovered that the lighing in bowling ally's is not ideal for photography!!
"Sammy Jo" in action!!
"Shock" (Carson) in action!!
"O-Come on!!!"
Sam was REALLY helpful with Colby. (maybe a little too helpful.)
William was too funny!!

Hey there's a frog on your nose!!!

When Colby came in the house with this tiny frog I had an idea to put it on his nose. I wasn't sure if the picture would turn out, but it difinately did as you cans see, and when all the kids saw the picture they showed up with frogs on thier noses too!!
Austyn and Megan thought this would be funny, Bonnie was like "Um what is this thing on my face!!"
